HOW TO APPLY:

We are currently accepting applications for one- and two-week residencies taking place between September 21 and December 20, 2025.

The following weeks are available to Session 3 applicants: September 21–27, September 28–October 4, October 5–11, October 19–25, October 26–November 1, November 9–15, November 16–22, November 30–December 6, December 7–13, December 14–20

Application deadline: May 25, 2025 by 11:59 PM EST

You can apply online. Please follow the steps below so you don’t miss any part of your application.

1. Click “APPLY NOW” below to fill out some basic information and pay for $15.00 application fee. Go to the shopping cart to complete the checkout process.

2. Email the following application materials compressed into a single ZIP file to info@directanglepress.com with the subject line Session 3 Residency Application.

• Introduction — Briefly introduce yourself and describe how this experience will contribute to your growth and development as an artist.

  GRANT APPLICANTS: Within your introduction, please address why you’re applying for a residency grant and what makes you an ideal grant recipient.

• Project Summary (1–2 pages) — In addition to a brief description of your potential project, please describe your creative process. Include details about any equipment needs during your stay, as well as your prior experience using this equipment.

• Curriculum Vitae (CV)

• Portfolio of 8–10 Images — Files should be in either Mac-compatible JPEG or PNG format, sized with longest dimension at 1600px at 72dpi.

• Image List — Please include title, medium, dimension, year.

Please be sure that your application materials include a header with your name and contact info, matching what you submitted with your application fee.

Please note: You must pay your application fee in order for your application to be considered for the residency.
